Connie Margaret Pickett Morgan, age 64, of Hardy, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at UAMS from injuries sustained in a house fire. She was born to Clyde Doyle Pickett and Kathryn Georgene Sanford Pickett on August 10, 1951, in the Lone Oak Community in Lawrence County, Arkansas. She is remembered for being an avid dog-lover and dog-whisperer, for her witty sense of humor and quick comebacks, and for having many handbags in which she carried all of her bargain store finds.
She is preceded in death by siblings Patty Pickett, Donna Pickett Callahan, Doyle Pickett, and her father Clyde Pickett.
Connie is survived by her mother, Georgene Pickett; children, Holly Morgan of Cherokee Village, Heather Biggers and her husband Greg of Weiner, and Adam Durham of Jonesboro; sisters, Darlene Dearen and her husband Gene of Imboden, Linda Nixon and her husband Bill of West Plains; brothers, Ken Pickett of Conway, and Phillip Pickett and his wife Angie of Highland; grandchildren, Hannah and Daniel Rowsey, Taft Howard, and Charlie and Walker Durham; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation and memorial services will be at Wortham Funeral Home’s Oak Hill Chapel in Hardy, Arkansas, on Saturday, August 5, 2015, from noon to 2:00p.m., followed by a private funeral at Hope Cemetery in Imboden, Arkansas.
