December 19, 1967 - December 2, 2023
Gary Wayne Hardin, 55, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born on December 19, 1967, to L.J. and Barbara Jean (Raney) Hardin in Walnut Ridge.
Gary married Shannon Carter on May 2, 1992 in Delaplaine. He worked at Frito Lay for many years. Gary loved the Lord and was a great man of faith. He thoroughly loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting. Gary was a humble and hardworking man. He was a member of the United Freewill Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Elige and Arple Hardin and maternal grandparents, Edison Raney and Ruby Powers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Shannon; one son, Logan Hardin of the home; one daughter, Tosha (Nick) Hopper of Walnut Ridge; his mother and step-father, Barbara and Ronnie Brown of Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Rickey Hardin of Hoxie, James David (Judy) of Pocahontas; one sister, Rhonda (Bruce) O’Connor of Hoxie; three grandchildren, Greyson, Gannon, Beckham Hopper.
Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Brother Glen Smith and Dominick Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Nick Hopper, Bo Hilliard, Greg Coats, Phillip Tolson, Wes Hardin and Richard Rogers.
