Leonard James "L.J." Hardin, 71, of Imboden, died Nov. 18, 2011, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro.

Born May 13, 1940, in Lepanto, he was the son of Arple Sweeten Hardin. He was an employee of the fertilizer department at Farm Service for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Gretta Morris Hardin, whom he married in May 2001; three sons, Gary Hardin and David Hardin, both of Walnut Ridge, and Ricky Hardin, Imboden; two daughters, Rhonda Renee O'Connor, Walnut Ridge, and Brenda Gail Anderson, Imboden; two sisters, Ola Mae Couch, Roanoke, Va., and Ola Wadley, Lapeer, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Home.
