Mary Elizabeth Hensley, 79, of Hope passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, in Hope. She was born June 8, 1944, in Little Rock, AR to the late Obie and Lillie Mae Johnson O’Dell.
Mary spent her life as a homemaker who loved her family dearly, loved to walk, loved her animals especially Rosebud and precious. She married her late husband Charles Ray Hensley, Sr on April 23, 1969.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 23 years Charles Hensley Sr, daughter Connie Bell Owen, and two sons Doyle Owen and Robert Franklin Hensley.
Survivors include, two sons Randy Owen, Chuck Hensley, Jr (Amanda); daughter Christie McKamie; daughter-in-law Cindy Hensley; grandchildren Charles Hensley III, Cody Walters, Dillion Brown, Jeremy Owen, Drew Hensley, Jospeh Hensley, Julie Hensley, Dwight Brown, and Christopher Owen; great grandchildren Brylee Paige Hensley, Owen Hensley, and Colton Brown; several other family members.
A visitation will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, 6:00-8:00pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2:00pm in Rosehill Cemetery with Pastor James Hensley officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
