Patty Ann Almond Ault died Oct. 6, 2005, in Springdale. She was born March 17, 1944, to Jess and Bessie Burk Almond, on St. Patrick's Day, near Clifton, Colo. She was the seventh of eight children born to the family. She had resided for many years in Rogers.
Patty graduated from Central High School in Clifton in 1962.
Patty married Ronald Ault. They had three children, a daughter, Ronda Ault and her husband Chuck of Kernersville, N.C.; a son, Gary and his wife Lisa of Fayetteville; and a son Rick and his wife Kara of Prairie Grove. She had two grandsons, Jared Harbaugh and Keegan Ault. Her first granddaughter, Aubrey, is due in three weeks.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Earl and Homer Almond and her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and George Martin.
She is also survived by her brother, Alfred Almond and wife Vi of Camas, Wash.; three sisters, Norma McCullough and husband Fred of Rogers, Wanda Beebe and husband Homer of Clifton and Lena Burnett and husband Ronnie of Grand Junction, Colo.
Patty fought a tough battle the last six years against a rare disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She had a strong spirit, loved the Lord, sang like an angel, cherished her family and had an independent nature.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family until we meet again for the huge family reunion in heaven. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Ken Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Inc., Executive Plaza III, Suite 906, 11350 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, Md. 21031.
