Melba Kathryn Rouse, 80, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a charter member of East Side Baptist Church, a member of the Women's Homebuilders Auxiliary, and co-owner and design consultant of Harley Rouse Construction. She was the widow of Harley Rouse. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at East Side Baptist Church Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Bannister of Fort Smith; two sons, Ronnie Rouse of Fort Smith and David Rouse of Longview, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
