Shelby Douglas Lubetz, age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away, Monday, June 11, 2018.
She was born on July 4, 1941 Dry Prong, Louisiana, the daughter of, Edward Douglas and Eunice Hodnet Douglas. She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Harold and Carroll Douglas; one sister, Thelma Slater; and three husbands, Jimmie Taylor, Steve Daly, and Barry Lubetz. She was a Christian by faith and member of First Baptist Church, hot Springs. She retired as a cosmetologist. She devoted her life to her faith and her family. She especially loved spending time in Gods word and watching Billy Grahams sermons. She nurtured her rose garden just as she did her relationship with her Lord.
Shelby is survived by three sons, Keeven Taylor of Hot Springs; Kenneth Taylor and wife Kelly of Hot Springs; and Warren Blanchard of Pierre Part, Louisiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Lieuallen and husband Bill and Kathy Wallace and husband Brook, all of Hot Springs; thirteen grandchildren, Brittany Taylor Atkinson, London Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Carrie Taylor, Jeremey DeVooght, Jason Klien, Asher Wallace, Adelie Wallace, Amelia Wallace, Wendi Boudreaux, Carly Campbell, Matthew McMillan, and Michael McMillan; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Hershall Douglas and wife Joesette; brother J.W. Douglas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen Coco and husband Terrell and Marjorie Morgan and husband Mike; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. .
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Dr. John McCallum officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service, beginning at 1:00 PM.
Interment will be in the Morning Star Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. Kevin Hale, Jeremey DeVooght, Stephen Sasnette, Chris Wilson, London Taylor, and Warren Blanchard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Breving and Bro. Mike Pounders.
Following the graveside service, attendees are invited to continue Shelbys celebration of life with food and fellowship hosted by First Baptist Church of Hot Springs Womens Ministry. It will be located in the fellowship hall at 2350 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
In lieu of customary condolences and other expressions of sympathy, memorials can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
