ROGERS — Alma Lee Secrest Hoofard, 76, of Rogers, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. She was born Dec. 12, 1935, to Ernest E. and Orpha Kroh Secrest in War Eagle, Ark.
Alma was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Emerson Electric.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hoofard; her parents; one sister, Juanita Oxford; and two brothers, Arthur and Alvin Secrest.
Alma is survived by one daughter, Pamela Donovan of Springdale, two sons, Jimmy, and wife, Ellen, of Rogers, Dale, and wife, Patti, of Rogers; seven grandchildren, Mandy Hoofard, Brandy Arnold, Joseph Hoofard, Scott Donovan, Marina Hoofard, Michael and Jeremy Tiner; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Neva Vaughn of Springdale and Nora Hoellering of Wichita,
Kan.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Feb. 17, 2012, Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas in the Training Center, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Ark., with Pastor John Barclay officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments from noon until service time. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary's, 1200 W. Walnut, Suite 2313, Rogers, AR 72756 and Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762.
