Julian Jay Mattingly, 82, of Hot Springs went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2011. He was born December 16, 1928 in Lebanon, Missouri to George and Lucy Mattingly. Jay was a devoted member of Unity Full Gospel Church and retired from the City of Hot Springs Municipal Utilities. He is predeceased by his parents, brother, Thomas Mattingly and sisters, Nora Nickels and Anna Belle Anderson. Loving survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce McLain Mattingly, sons, James (Patti) Mattingly and Dwayne (Janet) Mattingly, of Hot Springs; daughter, Deborah (Dan) Kamps, of Appleton, Wisconsin; daughter, Sherri (James) Rivers, of Hot Springs; sisters, Pauline (Monroe) Stevens, Laura Salvato, Carolyn Mattingly; brother, George (Betty) Mattingly; ten grandchildren, James Jr., Chris, Sara, Beau, Tim, Amanda, Laura, Ryan, Danaisa and Nathan; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Howell officiating. Burial will be at Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Mattingly, Jr., Chris Mattingly, Tim Mattingly, Beau Mattingly, Nathan Adams and Ryan Niles. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Troy Oxner, Dr. Barton Parish, Odyssey Hospice, Dr. Neeraj Bharany, National Park Medical Center nursing staff and Home Hospice Nurses Shayla and Deionna.
