January 3, 1919 - August 2, 2016
Florence M. “Flo” Dever of Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully passed away August 2, 2016. She was born January 3, 1919, in Hot Springs, to Johnny and Jessie (Rogers) Rucker.
Flo was a lifetime resident of Hot Springs, where she worked most of her life in retail at Rosenthal Shoe Store and later at Dillards. She dearly loved her family and home, which showcased her artistic nature, love of flowers, and where she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Flo will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Survivors include her four daughters, Carolyn Dunda and husband, John, Karen Franke, Jill Healy and husband, Michael of White Hall, Dara Dever of Gun Barrel City, Texas; granddaughters, Vicki Brewer (George), Laura Kelch (Brad), Kelly Mauras (Luis), Kalua Postlewate, Kalani Sarver, Mikayla Mueller (Nick); nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Flo was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence; and husband, William Ralph Dever.
The family is extremely grateful for the “Angels” of Arkansas Hospice and the doctors and nurses at CHI St. Vincent for their loving care.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Flo’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Bro. Wade Overturf officiating.
Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers include John Dunda, Michael Healy, George Brewer, and Richard Postlewate.
