Carolyn Marnette Skillern Kroha, 85, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away November 19, 2015. She was born March 28, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Leon Hardy and Mable Ruby (Long) Skillern.Affectionaly known as MaMa to her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Carolyn was full of compassion, valued family above all else, and loved sharing stories of her life. She loved road trips through the countryside and marveled the beauty of Gods creation. She loved feeding the birds and caring for the flowers that she planted. Her faith was also very important to her, She loved studying the Bible and sharing her beliefs with others. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Joseph Kroha; daughter, Kathy Buck; brothers, Leon Jr. and Keith Skillern; sisters, Norma Skillern Simmons (Harold) and Virginia Skillern Worthington (Jerry). Survivors include sons, Michael John Kroha (Sandy) of Booneville, Missouri, Joseph Keith Kroha (Audrey) of Hot Springs; son-in-law, Mike Buck of Hot Springs; brothers Don Skillern (Charlene), Larry Skillern (Carol) both of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2015 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Schildgen officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Martin Koehn and Staff and The staff at The Pines Nursing Home In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army at 115 Crescent Avenue or the Pines Nursing and Rehab at 524 Carpenter Dam Rd.
