Kenneth "Buck" Stroud
January 29, 1941 - August 2, 2022

Kenneth Jay "Buck" Stroud, son of the late Rayburn O. Stroud and Oveta J. Hall Stroud, was born January 29, 1941 in Sage, Arkansas. He departed this life August 2, 2022 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 4 days. Buck spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. He had a tremendous work ethic and worked almost up to his death. For many years, he was a salesman for Sleep Star Light in Batesville and Paragould. Later on in his life, he was the transportation manager for Mark Martin, delivering vehicles to the dealerships across the state. He was married three times in his life. His first wife was Norma Jean Ferguson, while together they raised two children. His second wife was Nancy Langston Humphries and his last wife was Linda Kay Stroud. Buck was a Christian family man and a long-time member of the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville.

He is survived by two children: Kendall Stroud and wife Tammy of Myron and Kelly Quinn and husband James of Vilonia; stepchildren: Robin Exum and husband Bryan and their son Grayson of Paragould and Lance Williams of Cave City; one brother: Harold Stroud of Melbourne; four grandchildren: Cody (Olivia) Stroud of Franklin, Ty Stroud (Hannah) of Melbourne, Justin (Sarah) Vaden of Franklin; five great grandchildren: Jace Stroud, Grayson Stroud, Able Vaden, Ava Vaden and Porter Burton and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Larry Stroud and Keith Stroud.

Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, August 5 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Melbourne Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Rodney Hall, Larry Jackson, Leland Jackson, Tom Womack, Mike Sharp, Kyle Vance.
