April 18, 1921 - March 26, 2002
Earl Price, 80, of Fort Smith entered into rest Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born April 18, 1921, in Liberty, the son of the late Floyd and Ethel Cook Price. Earl was a Navy veteran and served on the USS Cogwell ship in South Pacific during World War II, was a retired car dealer and a member of the Pastor's Class at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Clara of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and LeRoy Van Herpen of Fort Smith; four sisters, Wanda Lee Wilson of Roland, Doris Boman of Fort Smith, Jo Ann Davis of Benton and Jenelle Eriche of Fort Smith; four brothers, Gerald of Rudy, Wayne of California, Loy of Fort Smith and James of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery officiated by the Rev. Bill Hulse. Pallbearers will be Dean Morgan, Mark, Scott, Jeff and Eric Van Herpen and Scott Field.

Clara Cates Price, 101, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on December 4, 2022 in Fort Smith, AR.
She was born on January 7, 1921 in Roland, OK. to the late Dave and Drucie Nichols.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR. and a retired beautician.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Price.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine and husband LeRoy Van Herpen, five grandchildren, Mark Van Herpen, Scott Van Herpen, Jeff Van Herpen, Shelley Field and Eric Van Herpen and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers are Mark, Scott and Eric Van Herpen, Scott Field, Joshua Field and Caleb Field. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.
