Doyle Edward Frierson, of North Little Rock, went to his heavenly home on June 10, 2005 at the age of 74. He was born December 29, 1930 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Edward and Pearl Frierson.
After graduating from North Little Rock High School in 1949, he attended Central College, where he was a member of the choir. He served as a deacon at First Baptist and Levy Baptist Churches and was presently a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church. Mr. Frierson was active in the Burns Park Baseball Association for 17 years. His employment was with Missouri-Pacific Railroad, Pepsi-Cola and Adams Pest Control.
Mr. Frierson was preceded in death by his parents and wife, of 52 years, Ruth D. Frierson. He is survived by his wife, Colleen Frierson of North Little Rock; sons, David Frierson (Janet) of Florida and Kevin Frierson (Becky) of Texas; grandchildren, Ryan, Ross (Dena), Shelby and Bailey Frierson; step-sons, Steve Milburn, Ross and Kenneth Raines; sister, Zoa Ann Delman of Louisville, Kentucky; nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Baptist Church, 7541 Warden Road, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120 or Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Baring Cross Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Watson officiating. Burial will be at Natural Steps Cemetery, Roland, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170.

Ruth Dowell Frierson, age 73, of North Little Rock, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2003. She was born to the late J.A. and Ethel Dowell on July 15, 1929, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a mother and a homemaker who loved to make quilts. She attended Central Baptist College where she was a member of the choir and was also a member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Mrs. Ruth Frierson is survived by her husband of 52 years, Doyle Frierson of North Little Rock; two sons, David and wife, Janet Frierson of Vero Beach, Florida, Kevin and wife, Becky Frierson of Mesquite, Texas; four grandchildren, Ryan Frierson, Ross Frierson, Shelby Frierson and Bailey Frierson and a sister, Thelma Barden of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Second Baptist Church in Little Rock with burial at Natural Steps Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church of Little Rock. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Baptist Health Medical Center of North Little Rock for their love and kindness during Ruth’s stay there.
