FAYETTEVILLE -- Mildred Kay Gnau Greenwood, 68, of Fayetteville died Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Little Rock. She was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Hot Springs, Ark. the daughter of Fay Edward Gnau and Mildred Rachel Baldwin Gnau.

She was a graduate of Lakeside High School in Hot Springs; where, she was very active in sports. After high school, she graduated from Henderson State University; where, she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She was crowned Miss Hot Springs in 1967.

She was a member of the Good News Club and Cross Church in Springdale, Ark. She was both a business woman and served as a teacher and had retired in 013 after 25 years from Fayetteville Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Don Kingery. Survivors include her son, Ross (Heather) Greenwood of Loveland, Colo.; daughter, Lisa Kay (Joe) Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Edward (Patsy) Gnau of Hot Springs, Ark.; sister, Reita (Paul) Plummer of Waldron, Ark.; four nieces and nephews and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Chapel of Cross Church in Springdale with Pastor Joe Taylor officiating.
