Reba Curtis McMurtrey, 92, of Fort Smith passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, in Cushing, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ware McMurtrey. Mrs. McMurtrey and Ware McMurtrey were both employed by Hunt's Department Store for many years. She was a lifelong member of Goddard United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and U.C.T. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. She is survived by one daughter, Dixie Bledsoe and her husband, Pete of Cushing, Okla.; one son, Bob McMurtrey and wife, Judy Bandy McMurtrey of Wynne; one sister, Edra Copeland of Bedford, Texas; five grandchildren, Patty Madril of Phoenix, Wick Hampton of Denver, Robert McMurtrey of Joplin, Mo., Cathy Wempe of Cincinnati, and Missi Bogle of Sand Springs, Okla; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jim Curtis, Richard Bandy, Doug Shipman and Chuck Copeland.
