Sarah Ann Gaede, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away March 5, 2018.
She was born October 7, 1934 in Owensville, Indiana to the late Dolphus & Cleora (Yelverton) Spray. Sarah was a member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church, the Joy/Life Sunday School Class, the Chancel Choir and volunteered with the Kids For Christ youth group. She was an avid viewer of Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, Judge Judy, the Price is Right and many soaps. She also made many counted cross stitch and embroidery items for her family.
She married Herman Ray Gaede December 20, 1952 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his death in 2010. Also preceding her in death are her siblings John Spray, Martha Hasse and Margie Huchel and a daughter-in-law Deborah Gaede.
Survivors include their 8 children; Linda (Terry) Youngblood, Lisa (Dean) Farmer, Herman “Ray” Gaede Jr. (Lisa), Ricky Gaede, Rhett Gaede, Rory Gaede, Rance (Cathy) Gaede, and Leslee (Jimmy) Fulkerson. Also surviving are 21 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren, with another to be here in June and 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, friends, special friend Gertrude Ferguson and extended family in California.
Pallbearers are Zachary Youngblood, Andrew Youngblood, Michael Farmer, Seth Gaede, Koven Gaede and Carter Fulkerson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Oyidie Igbokidi and Dr. John Sorrels.
Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday at Oaklawn United Methodist Church with services beginning at 11:00 am, with Bro. Fred Hunter and Bro. Russ Breshears officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Kids For Christ, C/O Oaklawn United Methodist Church, 216 Higdon Ferry Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
