Mr. Martin McCollough, 89, of Hamburg died Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. Mr. McCollough was a native of Tichnor, AR and a resident of Hamburg for the past 60 years. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. He was a retired timber worker and a member of the Martinville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Opal E. Harrison McCollough in 1988; his parents, John Arnold & Nellie Singleton McCollough, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by a son, Everett McCollough of Hamburg; a daughter, Lois McDaniels of Hamburg; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2006 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Finney officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Russ Miller, Joe & Johnny King, Thomas Coleman, Dennis Byrd and Jerry Spurgress. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis King and Martin Pennington. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home, Hamburg.
