Luther E. Goyne, 88, of Hamburg died Monday, July 20, 2020. Mr. Goyne was a native of Crossett, a resident of Hamburg for the past four years and a former resident of Branson, Missouri and Lake Charles, Louisiana. Mr. Goyne graduated from Crossett High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict, aboard the USS Mansfield and the USS Piedmont. He was the Sales Manager at the American Press Newspaper in Lake Charles, Louisiana and was a Craftsman at the Engler Block in Branson, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oris and Eula Mae Peacock Goyne; a brother, Larry Oris Goyne and a sister, Linda Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Hathaway Goyne of Hamburg; a son, Stephen Goyne and wife, Lindsey, of Los Angeles, California; three step-sons, Steve Harriman and wife, Stacey, of Hamburg, Corey Harriman and wife, Candace, and Craig Harriman and wife, Misty, all of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Bruce Goyne and wife, Becky, of Crossett; three sisters, Sue Aulds of Bastrop, Louisiana, Sylvia Dye and husband, Gene, of Crossett and Sharon Sisson and husband, Ted, of North Monroe, Louisiana; a grandson, Otis Goyne and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020, in the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Ty Danielson officiating.
Visitation will be 9:45-10 a.m., Saturday at the cemetery.

Paula Hathaway Goyne, 82, of Hamburg died Saturday, August 8, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Goyne was born and raised in Hamburg, and was a 1956 graduate of Hamburg High School. She was a former resident of Branson, Missouri and Alexandria, Louisiana, having moved back to Hamburg four years ago. Mrs. Goyne was a mail carrier in Hamburg for a number of years, and she worked as a Craftsman at the Engler Block in Branson, Missouri. She was a member of the Hot Springs Village First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Goyne, 20 days ago, and her parents, Otto and Pauline Roark Hathaway.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Harriman and wife, Stacey, of Hamburg, Corey Harriman and wife, Candace, of Fort Worth, Texas and Craig Harriman and wife, Misty, of Southlake, Texas; a stepson, Stephan Goyne and wife, Lindsey, of San Francisco, California; a sister, Zandra Cheeseman and husband, Kyle, of West Monroe, Louisiana; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Ty Danielson officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be 9:45-10 a.m., Tuesday at the cemetery.
