The legacy of Anabell Lewis began May 5, 1946 in Waldo, AR when she was born to James Walden and Gladys Grider Rigsby. She made her earthly transition and answered the voice of God on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Dallas, TX.
She received her early education at Douglas and Goldstein Elementary School. She was a 1964 graduate of the Historic Langston High School where she received the Home Economics Award. She was a noted seamstress. Anabell was also a graduate of Madam Hayes School of Cosmetology and Quapaw Vo-Tech and received an Associate Degree in Residential Carpentry. Anabell was a former employee of Quachita Hospital dietary dept and retired from National Park Medical Center. Her employment history include, Stratco Vanadium Process Plant, Forcum Lannom, Town Talk BBQ and Playmate Nursery.
She united in marriage to Sylvester Osborne, Sr in 1964. Their union was blessed with two children. She later married Leo Lewis to this union one son was born.
She united with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in May of 1961. During her tenure she served in the Jr. Choir, Usher Board, Sunday School and Bible Study. She also served on the Deaconess and Mother's Board. She remained a faithful member in many ministries before moving to Dallas to be with her daughter.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Leo Lewis, one aunt, Glassie Porter.
Her memory shall forever be etched in the heart of her daughter, Lisa Michelle Osborne of Dallas, TX; two sons. Sylvester Lee (Natisha) Osborne, Jr and Bryce L. Lewis all of Hot Springs; two brothers, her twin, LeDell Rigsby and James Grider; two sisters, Mary A. Thrower and Virginia Sue Rigsby all of Hot Springs; one aunt, Willie Lee Grider of Oakland, CA; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; three special cousins, Olivia Tucker of Phoenix, AZ, Eva Alexander and Elise Cobb both of Fresno, CA; seven very special friends, Betty Rogers, Dorothy Bennett, Elizabeth McMillan, Constance Carrigan, Mickey Pleasant, Rosetta Spence and Rene McDaniel all of Hot Springs; her Pastor and First Lady, Rev. & Sister Billy E. Wilson host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Wilson and Rev. Larry McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family will be at 117 Wood St.
