JoAnn Quarles, 65, of West Monroe, Louisiana, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Mrs. Quarles was a native of Hamburg, a resident of West Monroe for the past five years and a former resident of Crossett for many years. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and an avid reader of her bible. She enjoyed being outdoors and
taking walks.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Yates, her mother, Lola Muse Henderson, and a half-sister, Nancy Wilcox.
She is survived by a son, Michael Carney and wife, Leigh, of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter, Cindy Fletcher and husband, Kenneth, of Madisonville, Kentucky; a brother, James Fred Yates of Little Rock; three half-brothers, Billy Joe Yates of Fountain Hill, Butch Yates of New Edinburgh and Joe Fred Yates of Hamburg; a stepbrother, Ricky Eastwood of Florence, Wisconsin; a half-sister, Joyce Smith of Monticello; two stepsisters, Glennis Holland of Hamburg and Bonnie Tumlison of Crossett; five grandchildren, Kaley Carney Molina, Dakota Fletcher, Jacob Fletcher, Benjamin Fletcher and Makenzie Fletcher and one great-great-granddaughter, Aspen Molina.
Graveside services are 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2020, in the
Hamburg Cemetery with Bro. Eric Hodge officiating.
Visitation will be 1:45 – 2 p.m., Saturday at the cemetery.
