Linda Lou Evans was born on August 31, 1948, in Fort Smith to James and Gennievie Evans. She was the youngest of three daughters, with sisters Delois and Cassie. She attended Northside High School, followed by Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She received her Masters in Educational Technology from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Linda met her future husband, Jerry Lively of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, at Northeastern State. They were married in 1969. Linda taught English at Van Buren, Roland and Muldrow Public Schools for a combined 40 years. Linda loved painting, reading, and spoiling her three grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, including Gordon "Bill" Yearty, and husbands Jerry Lively and Ray Gorton. She is survived by her sister, Delois Crawford of Fort Smith; sister Cassie Wagoner of Crossett; daughters, Emily Satterfield and Jenny Humble, both of Rogers, AR; son, Jeremy Lively of Bella Vista; and three grandchildren, Aiden Humble, Ben Satterfield, and Hannah Satterfield, of Rogers. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with family greeting friends one hour prior to the service, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Interment of her ashes will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
