Obituary
W. David Burdine, 71, of Magnolia, AR passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Wentworth Place in Magnolia. He was born on May 27, 1945 in Magnolia, AR to the late Alton and Mavis (Sayers) Burdine and was also preceded in death by his daughter Vicki Burdine.
David was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force and was a former Commander of the American Legion Post #3. He was a mechanic and retired from Marathon Oil Company in Haynesville, LA. After retiring he worked for the Magnolia Street Department.
He was of the Church of Christ faith, an avid Razorback fan, and was someone who never met a stranger.
David is survived by his wife of 44 years Jo Ann Burdine and daughter Cindy Burdine both of Magnolia, AR; sister Ann Harmon and nephew Jamie Harmon both of White Hall, AR; and a host of cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8 at Antioch East Cemetery with Rev. Cedric Walters officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
