April Lynn Burdine, 46, of Magnolia, AR passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.
April was born on April 1, 1968 in Kalamazoo, MI. She graduated from Lawton High School, Lawton, MI in 1986. She attended Camden Tech LPN training and graduated in July 2011. She loved her job at Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation and made many friends there. She had previously been employed at Dudneywood Retirement and Assisted Living prior to her nurses training.
April's greatest pleasure was her horses and she continued to show and ride into early summer.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and son David Shannon.
April is survived by David Burdine of Magnolia; mother Roberta Watts of Magnolia; father Philip Boussom and wife Cheryl of Malvern; brother Mike Boussom and wife Laura of Lunenburg, MA; sister Pamela Bornbridge of Magnolia; nephews Kevin and Justin Boussom of Lunenburg, MA; extended family Earl and Betty Burdine of Magnolia, Brooke Ann Prescott and husband Colter of Stamps, Denny Burdine and wife Judy of Nash, TX, Gigi Baucum and husband Harper of Stamps, Brenda Thornton and husband Corky of Magnolia; many uncles, aunts, and friends; and her horse of a lifetime "Oreo."
Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Thursday, August 7th at Lewis Chapel with Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Denny Burdine, Harper Baucum, Dave Smith, James Antoon, Mark Keith, and Corky Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be her "riding buddies" Joella Miller, Debbie Arnold, Liz Rayborn, Wendy Cox, Donna Keith, Kathy Sanders, Connie Eason and the South Arkansas Horse Show Association members.
