LaNell (Lewis) Hudgens, 70, of Garland, TX, formerly of Columbia County, AR, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at The Oaks Assisted Living Center in Flower Mound, TX.
LaNell was born in Magnolia, AR and grew up in the Calhoun Community. She was a member of the Antioch East Baptist Church and was the office manager for Gordon Lund Insurance Company. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved and enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Burt Hughes and Fannie (Young) Lewis and a brother Charlie Lewis. She is survived by her sons Lewis Hudgens and wife Barbara of Magnolia, James Hudgens of Garland, TX, Robert Hudgens and wife Melissa of Argyle, TX; brother Carroll Lewis and wife Libby of Magnolia; grandchildren Samantha Reanne Hudgens of Magnolia, Brenden Hudgens of Garland, Bryson Hudgens of Argyle, Tyler Hudgens of Argyle; step grandchildren Steven Locklear and wife Crystal of Tulsa, OK, Greg Locklear of Magnolia; great grandchildren Michael and Mason Locklear of Tulsa.
Visitation will be held from 1to 3 PM on Saturday, June 18 at the Antioch East Baptist Church with funeral services following at 3 PM with Bro. Ron Owen officiating. Burial will be at the Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Ty Hudgens, Brenden Hudgens, Bryson Hudgens, Steven Locklear, Greg Locklear, and Gary Lewis. Honorary pallbearer will be David Blalock.
The family requests memorial donations be sent to the Antioch East Cemetery Fund,
1070 Columbia 295, Magnolia, AR 71753 or to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
