April 17, 1940 - June 22, 2016

Charles Joseph Knox, 76, of Rogers passed away June 22, 2016, while a patient at Mercy Fort Smith.
Charles was born in Charleston on April 17, 1940, to the late Jack Knox and Beatrice Cole.

He is a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Fort Smith and a lifelong resident of the state. Charles was a U.S.

Army veteran of the 'bay of pigs 'era, a mason, 32nd-degree Scottish rites, Shriner and past or present member of the fraternal order of the Eagles, Elks, and Moose lodge.

He is survived by one son, David Knox and wife Carolyn Knox of Heavener; and two grandchildren, Brook and Nicholas Knox.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma Knox; and two sons, Mark and Jason Knox; and two sisters, Phyllis Plank of Rudy and Juanita Humphreys of Rogers.

A private family memorial will be held at the Lewis- Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with interment at Roselawn Cemetery.

A quiet bear of a man with a caring heart and unyielding personal, religious and political convictions, a private family funeral service was his choice.
His apologies to a legion of friends who will mourn his passing, and to a relative few nonsupporters Charlie would say 'so mote it be.'

Arrangements under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
