Kenneth William Vaughan, 73, of Ozark, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in Ozark. He was born March 4, 1932, in Franklin County to Golda Mary Bowman, He was a retired construction worker for Reano Construction and a Marine veteran.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2005, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. The Rev. Robin Hood will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, two sons, his mother, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

December 14, 1934 - April 30, 2017

Frieda Lucille Vaughan, 82, of Altus, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was born December 14, 1934 in the White Oak, Arkansas, to Jessie and Lucy Cowan Freeman.

She was a retired CNA at Ozark Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Vaughan; a daughter, Betty Clay; a son Ronnie Vaughan; and a sister, Alta Page.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Skolarski and husband Ted of Altus, Wilma Crutchfield and husband Gary of DeSoto, Kansas, and Beth Archer of Altus; a son, Kenny Sikes and Phillip of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers, Ken Freeman of Denning, Arkansas, and Bill Freeman and wife Norma, also of Denning, twenty grandchildren; Michael and Ashley Skolarski, Amy and Amber Crutchfield, Nikki, Kayla, Kylie and Kayden Kessler, Annie and Scott Johnston, Devin, Bradley, Elisabeth, Avrie and Sophie Walters, Leah McGuinis, Alexis, Riley and Chloe Hixon, and Harper Sikes, six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend J.D. Ellison officiating and burial at Houston Cemetery in Alix under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Serving as Pallbearers; Eric Kessler, Chaz Engleman, Dewayne, Dusty and Shane Freeman and Michael Skolarski.
Honorary pallbearers are Ted Skolarski, Gary Crutchfield, Phillip Sikes, Kip Upton, Billy and Kenneth Freeman, Bradley and Devin Walters.
