Wayne Lee "Sqeek" Wofford passed from this life on May 5, 2014 at the age of 63 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Wayne was born on April 22, 1951 in Colcord to Ernest Noble Wofford and Audra Fannie Woolbert. Sqeek was a member of the Cherokee Nation. Wayne worked for many years for Allen's Manufacturing Company in the shipping and receiving department. Sqeek was also a brick layer. He liked to play horse shoes, go to the creek and loved to raise chickens for the fights in his early years. Wayne is survived by one son Douglas Wayne Wofford and Denise of Missouri, two sisters, Kathrine Virginia Cooper of Jane, Missouri, Bobbie Bullard of Colcord, three brothers, Ernest Wofford Jr. of Elkins, Arkansas, Buddy Joe Wofford of Colcord, Howard Faye Wofford of Anderson, Missouri, one grandchild Gunner Jenkins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sqeek was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Audra, two brothers, Sonk Wofford and Billy Ray Wofford and one sister Clara May. Services are scheduled for Friday, May 9, at 3:00p.m. at the Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, located at 311 West Gray, (918) 253-5100, with Pastor Faron Anderson officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Wendell Bullard, Lendell Bullard, Jonathan Logan, Rodney Mouse, Doug Beck, Will Powers and Scott Fredrick with interment following at Dickson Cemetery.
