Mrs. Brandhuber Dies in Sleep

Mrs. Frank Brandhuber, 43, years old, was found dead at her home early Sunday morning by her husband. Death was caused by a combination of flu and asthma and she passed away in her sleep.

The Brandhubers came to Gentry from Springtown where they owned a farm. They have operated a cafe, Frank's Place, across the street from the Journal-Advance office for the past four years. Mrs. Brandhuber has managed the cafe since her husband started a liquor business a few months
ago.

Funeral service was held at the Methodist church Tuesday morning with Rev. C.A. Waters officiating. A quartet composted of Joe Test, John Shaffer Junior Benson and Freddie R. Steele, classmates of Bill Rutan, sang several numbers accompanied by Mrs. Frances Fisher. All Business houses were closed during the hour of the service. Burial was in the Springtown cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Glass, Elbert Shuller, John Binns, O.B. Folger and Mike and Ora Curran.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Brandhuber leaves a son, Bill Ruten of the home; her mother, Mrs. Ella King of Childress, Tex.; seven sisters, Mrs. W.J. Clements, Mrs. Clayee Holman, Mrs. Laulene White and Mrs. Joe Hix of Childress and Mrs. Grace Cartlidge and Mrs. Theo Williams of Kirkland, Tex.; four brothers, Hyatt, Birchel and Edgar King of Childress and James King of Buckeye, Ariz. All but Mrs. Cartlidge and James King were able to come for the funeral service.
