E.J. Howell, 83, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in his home.
He was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to Charley H. and May F. (Fant) Howell.
He was a self-employed Camper Manufacturer and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Estella, by his son Eddie Howell, two brothers, J.D. and Bob Howell and three sisters, Roberta Smith, Dorothy Yoakam and Lois Kolbe.
Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Monday, April 7, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Howell and his wife Kristy of Springdale, Arkansas; a daughter, Cheryl Walker of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren, Jake, Matt and Charlie Howell, Rick and Shawn Hartman and Michael Hernandez and Eight Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jerry Howell, Jake, Matt and Charlie Howell and Rick and Shawn Hartman.

December 13, 1935 - August 28, 2001
Stella F. Howell, 65, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, in her home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church for 56 years and was an assistant deacon. Mr. and Mrs. Howell were married for 50 years.
Funeral was in Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, E.J. Howell of the home; a daughter, Cheryl A. Walker of Las Vegas; two sons, Eddie J. Howell of Camden, N.J., and Jerry D. Howell of Springdale; her mother, Opal Smith of Harrah, Okla.; five sisters, Jo Ann Bodine of Garland, Texas, Bernice Bornstein of Eagle Lake, Texas, Birdie Mae Stremlow of Oklahoma City, Pamela McFarland of Harrah, Okla., and Deborah Short of Moore, Okla.; five brothers, Bill A. Smith of Tulsa, Willard Smith of Grand Prairie, Texas, James Smith of Springfield, Mo., Gary Smith of St. Louis, Okla., and Carl Smith of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren, Shawn and Richard Hartman, Michael Hernandez, Charles, Jake David and Matt Robert Howell; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Rogers, Gary Smith, Laudel, Bob and Bill Roberts and Frank Weyer.
