BERRY, Irene ANDERSON - Mrs. Vinson Berry died about 5:30 last evening in the Home Hospital, the result of injuries received when she was struck by an automobile about 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Berry, together with her husband and two other women, were on their way to Rogers and stopped at the Anderson home near Oakley Chapel. As Mrs. Berry stepped from the car to go to the house she was struck by an automobile driven by Puxey Woodruff of Rogers. Mrs. Berry was dragged some distance before the car could be stopped and suffered numerous injuries. She was taken at once to the hospital but her case was hopeless from the start. She is survived by her husband and two small children. Mr. Berry owns the garage on the corner just north of Oakley Chapel on Highway No. 71, several miles west of Rogers. Woodruff has been working for the Benton County Hdw. Co.

Mrs. Irene Berry, who was fatally injured yesterday afternoon about 2:30 on highway No. 71 just west of Oakley Chapel when she was hit by a passing car, died yesterday afternoon about 6 o'clock at the Home Hospital where she was taken after the accident. Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband, Vinson Berry, two children, age four and two, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cap Anderson; four sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Berry's mother is suffering very much from the shock in addition to the nervous strain she has been in the past week. One of her sons had broken his arm recently and another is in the hospital, having undergone an operation for appendicitis the day before the accident. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at Oakley Chapel under the direction of J.W. Bryant with interment in Oakley Chapel cemetery.
