Kenneth Hicks, 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered into rest on Sunday, August 26,2007 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born January 9, 1937 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Kenneth was a retired employee of Missouri Pacific Railroad, a member of First Baptist Church where he attended the Kiononia Sunday School Class. He was an avid fisherman and he loved wood working. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Debbie Burtrom. Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years; Maycene; two sons, Mike Hicks and wife Martha of Fort Smith and Mark Hicks and wife Karen of Greenwood, AR; daughter, Linda King and husband Mark of Charleston, AR; two step-daughters, Beverly Tittle and husband Roy of Charleston and Elaine Justman and husband John of Van Buren, AR; two brothers, Charles Hicks of Oatman, AZ and Alan Hicks of Burnet, TX; sister, Joy Vanlandingham of Sapulpa, OK; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Maycene Hicks, 78, of Fort Smith, AR. entered into rest on Wednesday, May 13, 2014 in Fort Smith, AR.
She was born May 22, 1935 to the late Mace and Florence Schlegel in Wagoner, OK.

She was retired employee of Kroger's and a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR.

She was the widow of the late Kenneth Hicks and preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Burtrom and her sister Peggy Autry.

She is survived by 1 son Mike Hicks and wife Martha of Fort Smith, AR. 2 daughters Beverly Tittle of Charleston, AR. and Elaine Justman and husband John of Van Buren, AR., 1 step-son Mark Hicks and wife Karen of Mansfield, AR., 1 step-daughter Linda King and husband Mark of Charleston, AR., 1 sister Jeannie Elliott and husband Charles of Groves, TX., 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 granddaughter on the way.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, AR. with interment at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Viewing will start at 9:00 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014.

Pallbearers will be Danny Dikeman, Chuck Robbins, Craig Hubbs, Glenn Roden, Mario Martinez and Noel Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Gray's Sunday School Class.
