Naomi Hill, 86, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was past Worthy Matron of the order of Eastern Star, past president of Business and Professional Women and the League of Women Voters and was retired from the payroll department at Whirlpool Corp. She was valedictorian of the class of 1932 at Russellville High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She was the widow of Burnie Hill. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alice Clark; two brothers, Joseph and Noble Clark; and one nephew, Bobby Clark. Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith. She is survived by one sister, Mae Scott of the home; three nieces, Teddy Martin of Fort Smith, Lee Minor of Tulsa and Grace Pumphrey of Springfield, Mo.; and two nephews, David Clark of Russellville and Dr. Rick Martin of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Dr. Rick Martin, David Clark, Marvin and Joe Minor, Earl D. Martin, Lloyd Pumphrey and Johnny Yusko.
