Wife of W. S. Terrell

Death claimed another pioneer of Union county at 11 o'clock Saturday night, September 15, 1917, when the soul of Mrs. Virginia C. Terrell passed to its eternal home at her residence at New London. The deceased was 78 years, 9 months and 29 days of age and had been a resident of Union county since 1857, having moved here after her marriage at Marion, La. that year. She leaves two daughters Mrs. J. T. Burnside and Mrs. W. P. Richardson, and three sons, W. T. Terrell of Huttig, A. L. and A. N. Terrell of New London. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the late residence and was largely attended. Rev. Rogers of Strong conducted the services. (The Huttig News - September 22, 1917)
