December 16, 1886 - October 24, 1965
Mrs. Effie Nichols, 78, of 720 Russell St., died Sunday morning in a Natchitoches, La. hospital. Mrs. Nichols was born Dec. 16, 1886 in Charleston, Ill., and was the daughter of G. W. and Eva Stiles Fudge. She was a member of the Vantrease Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Pinckard of Campti, La., a brother, Henry O. Fudge of North Little Rock; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Rumph Mortuary with the Rev. Marion W. Miller officiating. Burial followed in Arlington Cemetery under direction of Rumph. (The El Dorado Times - October 25, 1965)
