Samuel "Ed" Gordin, 88, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Monday, August 8, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was a retired manufacturing engineer for General Tire Company, a veteran of the Army Air Corps, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter; two sons; seven grandchildrean; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 9 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallabearers were his grandchildren.

Dorothy Sue Hughes Gordin, 88, passed away Saturday, December 3, in Trinity Village Medical Center, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She was born in Sallis, MS, on June 14, 1923, to Clayton and Eloise Hughes.

Dorothy graduated from Jackson Infirmary in Jackson, MS, in 1944, as a registered nurse where she began working in several different hospitals over the span of her career, including several years in the Panama Canal Zone.
It was there she married her husband of 59 years, Ed Gordin. She retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center after 20 years.
She was a long time member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:30pm Tuesday, at Edwards Funeral Home, with funeral services scheduled Bartholmew's Episcopal Church with Father Jeff Champlin officiating.
Burial will be immediately after the service at Roselawn Cemetery.
