FAYETTEVILLE — Anna Sue Keen Witte, age 76, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. She was born June 4, 1940, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Walter Herbert Keen and Anna Mae Cline Keen.
She was the youngest of four older brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sue enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, and had a tender heart towards animals. She was a lifelong resident of Fayetteville and a homemaker for many years.
After her children had grown, Sue worked as a legal secretary, child support advocate, and in the Washington Collector's office from where she retired. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Witte, his wife Kim, and one grandchild Anna Karen Witte of Fayetteville; Michael Witte of Fayetteville; her brother, Robert (Bob) Keen, his wife, Earlene of Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Melba Keen, Imy Keen, and Hazel Keen of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
Burial will be in Hester Cemetery, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayetteville Animal Services, 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., Fayetteville, Ark., 72701, c/o director.
