Mrs. Sarah Lillian Morgan, 54, of Route 3, El Dorado, died unexpectedly about 10 p.m. Thursday enroute to a local hospital. She had been a lifelong resident on Union County and was the daughter of Alex and Mary Alice Sorrels Perdue. She was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, R. D. Morgan; a daughter, Mrs. G. L. Bates, Jr, of Norphlet; two brothers, Charlie M. Perdue of El Dorado and Alvin P. Perdue of Sterlington, La.; a sister, Mrs. Hilary Armers of El Dorado; and two grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ebenezer Methodist Church with the Rev. James F. Ford and the Rev. S. B. Mann officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery by Rumph Mortuary. The body will be carried to the family home Friday afternoon. Pallbearers will be George Blackburn, Ernest Carmichael, Richard Russell, Epps Brown, Nelson Barnes and Leonard McDonald. (The El Dorado Times - July 3, 1965)
