Donald L Dechow Sr, 70, of Poteau, Okla. and formerly of Huron and Woonsocket areas, died friday, May 9, 2003, in a hospital in Dade City, Fl. A memorial service will be held Sat at the First Assembly of God Church in Roland, Ok with his son-in-law, The Rev. Eddy Morton, officiating. He was born April 2, 1933 in Woonsocket (SD) He married Joy Timm Nov 23, 1952 in Huron. He began his career of 27 years with Braniff Airwasy in Huron. He later operated Don's Pest Prevention in Tulsa, Ok with his son, Donald. He was a member of the Eagles, Moose and Elks Lodges. He is survived by his wife, Joy Dechow of Poteau, two daughters, Cherrine Morton of Muldrow, Ok and Tonia Gill of Poteau; two sons, Donald L. Dechow Jr. of Tulsa, Ok and Timothy R Dechow of Broken Arrow, Ok, one son-in-law , the Rev. Eddy Morton; one daughter-in-law, Pam (Timothy) Dechow; his mother, Hazel Dechow of Zephyrhills, FL; two sisters, Shirley (Maynard) Hahn of Howard, SD and Nancy (Joseph) Roberts of New Castle, IN, four grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Ruford L. Dechow.

Tonia Dechow Gill, 59, of Poteau, OK, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith.
She was born November 11, 1955 in Huron, SD.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald L. Dechow, Sr., brother Tim Dechow and biological daughter April Myers Gowins.

Funeral service will be 2:30 PM Friday, February 20, 2015, at Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Morton officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by her mother Joy Dechow of Poteau, OK two sisters Cherrine Morton and husband Eddy of Muldrow, OK and Pamela Dechow of Broken Arrow, OK, one brother Donald Dechow, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Prue, OK, one niece Angel Dechow and two nephews Chad Dechow and Curtis Kelling.

Pallbearers will be David Raney, Chad Dechow, Tevin Lark, Mark Davis and Henry Isham.
