Donald Earl Glidden, 80, of Fort Smith, died June 1, 2011 in Fort Smith.

He was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center in Engineering Maintenance after 18 years of service. He was active in the United Way River Rafting and he loved Wood Working.

He is survived by his wife Freda of the home; one son, Sheldon and his wife Trina Glidden of Greenwood; two sisters, Claudia Burnett and husband Wayne and Georgia Woodmansee all of Atascadero, CA; one brother Earl Alvin Glidden, Jr. of Atascadero, CA; and three grandchildren, Brendon and Bradley Glidden and Phillip Hart.

He was preceded by his parents Earl Alton and Helen Elizabeth Gammon Glidden and one brother Leonard Glidden.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brendon and Bradley Glidden, Phillip Hart, Jerry Luper, Tommy Freeman, and Jeremy Ibison.

Freda L. Glidden, 73, of Fort Smith, passed away Monday February 8, 2016.
She was born May 2, 1942 in Stuart, OK.

She was a retired LPN from Sparks Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Glidden, son Leon Dale Wallace, mother Delphia Maddox, father Earl H. Welch, maternal grandmother Ethel Kelley, maternal grandfather John W. Kelley, brothers Loyd Welch and Leonard Welch and sister Reta Weaver.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son Sheldon Glidden and wife Trina of Greenwood, one sister June Maddox and Preslie of Tulsa, OK, two brothers Larry Welch and wife Carolyn of Hackett and Don Welch and wife Betty and family of Strutman, TX and three grandchildren Brendon Glidden of Northwest, AR, Bradley Glidden of Fort Smith and Phillip Hart of Fort Smith, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, loved ones by marriage, work mates and class mates.

Pallbearers will be Brendon Glidden, Bradley Glidden, Phillip Hart, Jerry Luper, Tommy Freeman and Jeremy Ibison.
