Gloria Jean “Glory” Boyette, 54, of Benton, entered the gates of Heaven March 2, 2009. She was born January 8, 1955 in Little Rock to Eugene and Elizabeth Thornberry. She was employed at Simmons Eye Clinic in Benton and a member of Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Thornberry.
Survivors, husband of 36 years, Kenneth Boyette, Benton, sons, Jason Boyette and Matt Boyette, both of Benton, father, Eugene Thornberry, Bauxite, sisters, Janet Reed and husband, Steve of Alexander, Ruby Terry and husband, Jerry of Rison, Virginia Steitler and husband, Glen of Bauxite, brothers, Danny Thornberry and wife, Pam of Benton, Hubert Thornberry and wife, Pam of Benton, Martin Thornberry and wife, Susan, Magnolia, Tommy Thornberry, Bauxite, Kenny Thornberry of Bauxite and twenty seven nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Church services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church with Marcus Blakely officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Perry County.
Visitation will be at Ashbys, Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Family comments: Gloria is survived by her two dogs, Paco and Tiffany. She loved teaching Sunday School Class and working in her flower garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Kenneth Curtis Boyette, 61 of Benton, passed away November 5, 2015. He was born in Benton to the late Donald and Shirley Curtis Boyette. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Gloria Boyette, son, Jason Boyette, brother, Dwain Boyette.
Kenneth was a longtime member and Deacon of Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors, son, Matthew (Rachel) Boyette of Benton, brother, John Boyette and sister, Christina (Otis) Bradshaw, all of Benton, grandson, Joshua Forrest.
Church services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Forest Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Benton with Bro. Marcus Blakley officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Harmony Cemetery in Thornburg, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Sunday at Ashbys, 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
