FAYETTEVILLE - Edward "Coach" Fedosky, 89, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at his home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Calumet City, Ill., to Edward and Grace Fluegge Fedosky.

Ed served in the Marines Corps during final months of WWII. He received his Master's degree from Indiana University, and went on to teach and coach swimming at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., and finally at the University of Arkansas.

Coach and his family spent summers operating Wilderness Campsites at Lake Shishebogma in Wisconsin. They moved to Fayetteville in 1967 when Ed became the Men's Razorback Swim Coach. During his coaching career, he was inducted into both the Arkansas Sports and U.S. Swimming Halls of Fame. Ed built and established Swim Ranch in 1975 and operated it with his family, teaching countless people how to swim for the past 41 years.

Ed was a longtime member of Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell. He and Virginia were morning "greeters" for over 20 years. The family is rejoicing that he is now face to face with his Savior.

Ed is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia "Kiki" Eubank Fedosky of the home; five children, Edward Fedosky and wife Rebecca of Madison, Wis., Susan Gabbard and husband Ron of Elm Springs, Dr. Scott Fedosky and wife Teresa of Fayetteville, Kim Brinson and husband Mike of Wesley, Dr. Keane Fedosky and wife Amy of Rowlett, Texas; three brothers, Victor of Oregon, Alan of Florida, Wayne of Springdale; one sister, Virginia Jerzyk of Indiana; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Meunier.

A memorial service will be 1 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville with a reception to follow. Private interment will be at Mt. Comfort Cemetery. Arrangements are with Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com.

FAYETTEVILLE — Virginia "Kiki" Fedosky, 87, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at her home. She was born May 11, 1930, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Arthur Wayne and Hilda Braun Eubank.

Kiki received her degree in physical education from Indiana University where she was also a cheerleader. Upon graduation, she taught junior high PE until starting her own family.

Together with her husband, Ed and Kiki owned and operated Wilderness Campsites on Lake Shishebogma in Wisconsin, each summer from 1961-1967. The family moved to Arkansas in 1967 and in 1975 she and her husband established Swim Ranch. Over the next 40 years, "Ms. Virginia" developed and taught her unique "Waterbabies" classes to hundreds of children in NWA. She was actively involved with the direction of Swim Ranch activities at the time of her death.

Favorite pastimes included playing Scrabble, Bridge on Fridays, RV camping, and riding horses in her younger years. Kiki was a self-taught landscaper and flower gardener, making many improvements around her home and Swim Ranch. She also enjoyed selling ads in the Star Shopper for a number of years. For a number of years, she and Ed volunteered as greeters each Sunday at Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell. Her family is joyful in their sorrow, knowing that she is face to face with Jesus and reunited with her husband.

Kiki was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward "Coach" Fedosky, last December, and a brother, David Eubank. She is survived by five children, Edward Fedosky and wife Rebecca of Madison, Wis., Susan Gabbard and husband Ron of Elm Springs, Dr. Scott Fedosky and wife Teresa of Fayetteville, Kim Brinson and husband Mike of Wesley, Dr. Keane Fedosky and wife Amy of Rowlett, Texas; two brothers, Dick Eubank of Florida, Don Eubank of Indiana; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Sunday, Aug. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook at www.heritageofnwa.com. A memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday, Aug.21, at Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville (Hwy 112), with a reception to follow. Private interment will be at Mount Comfort Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Community Center, P.O. Box 939, Rogers, Ark., 72757.
