Jerry Eugene Cormack, 70, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was of the Baptist faith, a member of the pastor's class of the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith and was retired from James River-Dixie Cup after four and a half years. He is survived by his wife, Suzann; two daughters, Holly Plunkett and Carol Holmes, both of Van Buren; a son, Mike Cormack of Van Buren; two sisters, Helen Huckelbury of Van Buren and Opal Lake of Shreveport, La.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral service was held Feb. 19 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. Pallbearers were Les Beckham, Marvin Robbins, Larry Williams, Glen Fowler, Charles Cormack and Ronald Vail.

Katie Suzann Cormack, 81, of Fort Smith went home to the be with her Lord on Dec. 16, 2017, in Fort Smith.
She was born May 14, 1936, in Fort Smith to Lyman and Winnie Mays Roper.
Suzann was a Christian and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith and the pastor’s class. Suzann had many friends, all of which she loved very much and considered them to be her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Holmes and Holly Plunkett, both of Van Buren; one son, Jerry Michael Cormack of Van Buren; two sisters, Sissie Beckham of Van Buren and Nancy Schoenebeck of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Kevin R. Holmes, Heather Ann Brown, Andrew M. Cormack, Shawn B. Cormack, Shelly Carol Cormack, Kyle E. Plunkett, Cole D. Plunkett and Bret L. Plunkett; six great-grandchildren, Beckett Brown, Cambree Brown, Reagon Holmes, Piper Holmes, Gracie Holmes and Aria Cormack; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Cormack; her parents; one brother, Lyman “Bubba” L. Roper Jr.; and one nephew, Loyd C. Trotter Jr.
Private service was held under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
