Hugh Edward Bullington, 88, of Fort Smith went to be with his Lord Friday, September 30, 2011.
Hugh was born to Joe and Eva Bullington on August 9,1923.

A veteran of World War II, he served with the Army's 43rd infantry. He saw action in the Philippines and New Guinea and earned the Bronze Star on Luzon Island. Hugh was a member of First Baptist Church of Barling, Arkansas and served as a deacon for 61 years. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 42 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3rd at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Barling with Rev. Jay Edmondson officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois Bates Bullington; two sons, Roger and his wife Pam of Barling and Randall and his wife Alice of Altus; four grandchildren, Jason Bullington and his wife Elizabeth, Jill Lippincott and her husband Stuart, Boone Bullington, and Blake Bullington; two great grandchildren, Fletcher Bullington and Aria Lippincott; two brothers, Jimmy of Barling and Delmar of Fort Smith; and his caregiver, Anita Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Eva; two sisters, Norene Warren and Jo Ann Abel; and three brothers, Paul, Jack, and Steve.

Pallbearers will be Boone Bullington, Blake Bullington, Richard Weindel, Jerry Barling, Eddie Abel, and Mark Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bullington, Leroy Alexander, and the Senior Men's Sunday School class of First Baptist Church, Barling.

Lois L. Bullington, 86, of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Fort Smith.
She was born December 19, 1926 in Lavaca, AR to Argus and Etta (Binkley) Bates.

She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Golden Eagles Camping Club. Lois was a life long member of Barling First Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and a Vacation Bible School Teacher, and she served in many other capacities.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Hugh Bullington; and she was also preceded by her sister, Jane Carrier.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Bullington and his wife Pam of Barling, AR, and Randall Bullington and his wife Alice of Altus, AR; two sisters, Jean Harris of Santa Paula, CA and Agnes Whitney and her husband Claire of Redwood City, CA; one brother, Binkley Bates and his wife Corene of Vista, CA; four grandchildren, Jason Bullington and his wife Elizabeth, Jill Lippincott and her husband Stuart, Boone Bullington, and Blake Bullington; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Barling First Baptist Church with burial in Roselawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Boone, Blake, and Jason Bullington, Stuart Lippincott, David Freeman, and Leroy Alexander.
