Rev. Clayburn C. Bratton Jr., of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Rev. Bratton was 84 years old. HE was a retired Southern Baptist minister; a retired Chaplin for the ARMY and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church and a member of the Bratton S.School Class; he the former pastor of Jamesfork Baptist Church, just west of Mansfield, Arkansas.
Rev. Bratton was a graduate of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Rev. Bratton was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife: Jessie Bratton.
He is survived by two children: Vickie Winkle and her husband, and Luann and Miles Williams; 2 brothers: Roy Bratton and Julius Bratton; 4 wonderful grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

A memorial service was held on Monday, May 4, 2011, at the East Side Baptist Church. Dr. Bob Ford and Wally Portmann, officiated the service.
A private family internment was held following the service, with military honors.
Pallbearers were members of the Military Honor Guard.
