SCOTT, Benjamin Franklin - (from Elkhorn) Benjamin Franklin Scott was born May 9, 1861 in Pulaski county, Mo. and died Sept. 20th, 1928 at the age of 67 years, four months and eleven days. He was a son of Loransy and Malinda Scott. He joined the Christian church fifty years ago and lived a faithful Christian life until death. He was married to Mollie Springer Oct. 21, 1888. To this union was born seven children, six of them having preceded him to that home above. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and one daughter, Alice, and a niece and nephew, Pauline and Roy Springer, whom he had raised from infancy; also two brothers, Ike and Lorancy(sic) Scott. He assured his loved ones and friends that all was well with his soul and that he did not fear death. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.M. Martin with a short talk by John Buttram at the Central school house after which the remains were laid to rest in the Ford Cemetery. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
