Loretta Ruth “Rita” Hogue Barnhart, 56, of Cabot passed from this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. She was born Thursday, September 17, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Virgil and Edna Hudson Hogue. Loretta spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for her husband, children and in recent years her grandchildren. Although she loved her family, she found her greatest joy in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even in the hardest of times, her faith and trust in him was unshakable. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Virgil Ray Hogue and sister-in-law, Theresa Linker.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Daniel E. Barnhart; mother, Edna Hogue of Little Rock; children, Michaela Barnhart of Cabot, Andrew (Ashely) Barnhart of Michigan, Jessie Evans of Booneville, Daniel Barnhart (Andrew Burrow) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Jayden Barnhart, Debra Ruth Barnhart, Duncan Edward Barnhart and Max Barnhart. Other survivors include siblings, Donna Zimmerman, Faye Davis, Jodie Wagner, Wanda Godwin, Brenda Haynes, William Hogue, Donald Hogue and brother-in-law, Rick Linker; along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, at Sumner Cemetery in Cabot with Pastor Kevin Bernard officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2020 at Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorials in Rita’s memory may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Arkansas Hospice for the love and dedication shown to Rita in her final days.
