WILLIAM RANDOLPH {RANDY} HALL, 87, of Talihina, Oklahoma, passed away February 7, 2011 at Jack C. Montgomery Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born in Mansfield, Arkansas on November 7, 1923, the son of the late Omar and Eureka {Patterson} Hall. He served in the Marines during World War II. He retired from civil service, under the Department of the Army. Randy has a passion for writing, history, and culture. He kept busy following retirement by being on the Talihina Library Board, Talihina Scenic Drive Board and other civic activities. He enjoyed playing Santa Clause at Christmas time at the Coussens Gin Store. He was a long time faithful member of the Talihina First Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn and Don Stroud of Richmond, Virginia; son Carroll Hall of Talihina, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Major Christopher J. and Tina {Rowbatum} Killeen of Cabot, Arkansas; Sean Michael Killeen of Mansfield, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren Shelby Killeen, Declan Killeen, and Garreck Killeen; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Lee {Dean} Hall. Services were held at the First Baptist Church on February 11, 2011. Reverend Mark Cook officiated. Interment followed at the Oak Valley Cemetery, Lavaca, Arkansas under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
