Carolyn Maxine Schiffman, 57, resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 in the De Queen Medical Center.

She was born August 24, 1948 in De Queen to Henry Clay and Linnie Lorene Vance Brizendine. She was a former employee of Pilgrims Pride and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God.

Mrs. Schiffman was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Joe and Donald Brizendine and one nephew, Little Joe Brizendine.

She was survived by her husband, James Schiffman of De Queen; three daughters, Mary Ann Perez, Carolyn Socash, and Barbara Chabelo, all of De Queen; one son, John McRae of Gillham, Arkansas; mother, Linnie Lorene Vance Brizendine of De Queen; brothers and sisters, Barbara Sierra of Gillham, Richard Brizendine of Odessa, Texas, Billy Brizendine of De Queen, Robert Brizendine of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Randy Brizendine of De Queen, George Brizendine of Glenwood, Arkansas and Roger Brizendine of De Queen; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in the First Pentecostal Church of God in De Queen with Rev. J.C. Seward officiating. Burial followed in Avon Cemetery under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at the funeral home.
