Billy Austin Chitwood, 94 Passed away at his home in Apache Junction Az April 2, 2022. He was born September 20, 1927 in Fort Smith Arkansas to Dave and Marie Chitwood. Billy was a 1946 graduate of Mansfield Ar. High school with many honors for his sports abilities. In 1946 he married classmate Charlene Turner. They spent most of their years and raised their family in Arizona. Billy retired in 1983 after 25 years as a welder in a steel shop in Phoenix. He is proceeded in death by Charlene his wife of 68 years and his son Michael (Louise) Chitwood. He is survived by sons Alan (Diana) Chitwood, Stephen (Roxanne) Chitwood and daughter Gina (Jeff) Nohl, 10 grandkids, 2 step grandkids, 13 great-grandkids. And several step great grandkids. He is also survived by brother Jerry (Betty) Chitwood.

Charlene Turner Chitwood, 87, passed away April 3, 2015. She was born March 26, 1928 to Homer and Jean Turner of Abbott, Arkansas. Charlene was a 1946 graduate of Mansfield High School and in October 1946 married classmate Billy Chitwood. They lived in different states but mostly in Arizona. She retired from the Tempe School district in 1989 after 17 years as Manager of cafeteria services. She is survived be her husband of 68 years Billy Chitwood, four children: Alan R. (Diana) Chitwood, of Woodbridge, VA., Michael D. (Louise) Chitwood of Gilbert, AZ., Stephen L. (Roxanne) Chitwood of Mesa, AZ., and Gina J. (Jeff) Nohl of Pearce, AZ., 10 Grandchildren, 2 step Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several step Great Grandchildren and a brother Carroll (Barbara) Turner of the Greenwood, Arkansas area. She is a member of the Humboldt Bible Church. She was cremated and her ashes will be interred in the Dawson Cemetery in Milltown, Arkansas. A family memorial was held in her honor.
